Spot a scam or a fake payment alert

2 min read

Short answer

Only trust what the app shows. A text, email or screenshot saying you've been paid means nothing until the deal in the app shows the money as held. We will never ask for your PIN, card number or a code we sent you.

What to do

  1. 1

Check the deal, not the message

Fake alerts look real. If the deal doesn't show the money as held, it hasn't been paid.

  2. 2

    Keep payments in KetaPay

Never pay or get paid outside the deal, even for a discount.

  3. Never share codes

Not your PIN, not a sign-in code, with anyone, including people who say they work for us.
