How KetaPay holds your money
2 min read
Short answer
When a deal is paid, KetaPay holds the money in a bank account kept separate from our own. It goes to the seller only when the buyer confirms they're happy, or after we review a deal whose check period ended with no dispute.
How a deal moves
- 1
You agree the deal
One of you sets out what's being sold, the price, the delivery date and who pays the fee. The other side accepts.
- 2
The buyer pays in
By card, bank transfer or from their KetaPay balance. You both see the money as held.
- 3
The seller delivers
They mark the deal as delivered. For goods, the buyer then has 24 hours to check it.
The money is released
When the buyer confirms, the seller is paid straight away, minus their fee.
