Lagos, Nigeria — Ketapay has confirmed its presence at the 2026 Art Roost Exhibition, Nigeria's foremost gathering of visual artists, creatives, collectors, and art market professionals. The exhibition runs across three days at its Lagos venue, and Ketapay will maintain a dedicated showcase space throughout.
The problem Ketapay is solving for creatives
Nigeria's creative economy loses an estimated ₦180 billion annually to unpaid commissions, ghost clients, and post-delivery payment disputes. Artists take commissions from buyers they have never met, ship physical works before payment clears, or complete digital deliverables with no recourse when clients disappear. Ketapay's escrow holds payment the moment a commission is agreed — releasing funds only when the buyer confirms receipt.
"Every artist at Art Roost has a story about a commission that never paid out. We're here to make sure that story stops getting told." — Head of Partnerships, Ketapay
Creative Economy plan
Alongside the exhibition, Ketapay will announce its Creative Economy plan — a pricing tier designed specifically for individual artists and small creative studios. The plan includes reduced transaction fees for commissions under ₦500,000, a milestone-based escrow option for multi-stage projects, and direct integration with Paystack and Flutterwave for artists already using those platforms.
Art Roost attendees can register for early access to the Creative Economy plan at the Ketapay stand. General availability is scheduled for Q3 2026.
